Family Fun at IKEA

I've always liked going to IKEA, but I never realized how family friendly it was or how much fun my little munchkin could have there. Let me tell ya, she had SO MUCH FUN!

Of course she loved the kids department. We stopped and I showed her the stuffed animals. I made them talk and she looked at me all silly like, "mom, you're making a fool out of yourself." Mid IKEA visit Maddie needed a diaper change, so we headed to the bathrooms. On our way there we found a hallway of mirrors. This my friends, was like Maddie's own personal Disneyland. We went down the hall, making her fly up and down, stopping at each mirror making goofy faces. I swear it was the best of day of her life she smiled and laughed so much!

Then came the family bathroom. Ahhhhh (as in a peaceful serenity ahhhhh, not a scary top of your lungs kind of ahhhh). This family bathroom was amazing. No funky smells that made me feel like I wanted to run the other direction. What did I see? A spacious mecca decorated with bright happy tapestries hung on the walls next to a nice lounge chair for breastfeeding. There was a sink lowered for the littles and a regular sink for adults, a chair and table for children to wait, a changing station, and a large toilet stall. Sometimes you get in a jam and run out of diapers while you're shopping, right? Don't worry, IKEA has your back. Head down to the play area and they'll hook you up with a spare diaper to save the day.

I'm officially ranking this as one of the best family friendly bathrooms I've come across!
