Our Gender Reveal Baby Shower!

KB Cakes made mini cupcakes to accompany our animal themed reveal cake

Guests wore pink bows or mustaches to represent their gender guess.

We had the sweetest shower to welcome in our baby! It was a brightly colored polka dot & animal theme since it was also a gender reveal party. Guests ate a mix of Asian cuisine including ramen noodle salad, edamame, egg rolls, sushi, and fried rice. There was also a candy table where guests could fill bags as a take home treat. Tables were decorated with vibrant potted plants and fun dots! 

Rich and I kept going back and forth trying to decide if we wanted to find out the gender at the party with everyone else or if we should find out privately before. About a week prior to the party we decided to go out to a nice brunch and bring that little gender reveal envelope from our 20 week sonogram along. We opened the envelope at the table together and were in complete shock. It said we were having a GIRL!!! We really thought we were having a boy. Oh my goodness! I couldn't stop the tears I was so excited. I think our waiter probably thought Rich just said something really mean to me and made me cry. Every time he walked by he gave me a, "are you ok, sweetie?" type look.

At the shower we had our moms cut the reveal cake together and I'm so glad we did. It was such a happy moment! The looks on their faces were priceless.
